Curriculum Highlights

Hands-on learning with a wide range of trips, visitors and practical experiences to enhance learning. Curriculum is delivered through high quality classroom instruction by teachers and teaching assistants. The curriculum uses a thematic approach, delivering core subjects on their own and focusing Foundation subjects within themes. Themes are designed to enable access to learning in a way that is meaningful and builds the foundations of future learning and success. They emphasise inclusive learning with adjustments to ensure all learners can access what is offered, including those with SEND. The curriculum aligns with the Equality Act 2010 and the Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014. Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Education is central, with a focus on British Values including Democracy, Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Tolerance and Respect, and Well-being. The curriculum aims to develop skills such as communication, collaboration and resilience, preparing children for life in a fast-moving, multi-skilled world. The school values Be Ready, Be Respectful, Be Resilient, Be Safe, Be Yourself are embedded in learning and school life.
