Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions follow Nottinghamshire Local Authority criteria: the school has a Foundation 1 Unit (Nursery) with 52 places, offering half-day sessions (3 hours in morning or afternoon) and a limited number of 30-hour places. Places are allocated following LA criteria: (1) live in catchment with a sibling in JTR, Newlands or Garibaldi in date of birth order; (2) live in catchment in date of birth order; (3) live out of catchment with a sibling in JTR, Newlands or Garibaldi in date of birth order; (4) live out of catchment in date of birth order. Oversubscription criteria: oldest to youngest by date of birth. Children admitted to nursery in September usually spend three terms before starting full-time school. For full-time admission, Nottinghamshire PAN is 50 places; parents must apply via Nottinghamshire County Council. Oversubscription criteria for full-time entry include look-after status, in-catchment with sibling, in-catchment, out-of-catchment with sibling, and out-of-catchment, with distance to school used as a tiebreaker. The school notes inclusivity and accessibility considerations in admissions policy or related documents.

Financial Information

Nursery charges: a small charge of £3.00 per day for children attending until 3:30pm to cover the cost of the additional hourly extension. Nursery 30 Hours Entitlement is available for eligible families (information and eligibility via Nottinghamshire/www.childcarechoices.gov.uk). When applicable, places are limited to free up 15-hour places. For full-time school admissions there is no specific fee information provided beyond standard LA processes.
