Head Teacher's Message

Welcome message from Head Teacher Mrs D. Hyslop highlighting the school motto 'We nurture, flourish and achieve!', emphasis on high expectations, delivering quality education through an inspiring curriculum, and inviting visits to the school.

SEND Provision

Nettleworth's Nurture Den provides short-term, targeted intervention strategies to address barriers to learning arising from social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties. Children remain in their class while benefiting from weekly nurture sessions for a half-term block. The provision is guided by the six principles of nurture: learning is understood developmentally; the classroom offers a safe base; nurture supports well-being; language is vital for communication; all behaviour is a form of communication; and transition is important.

Admissions Criteria

Standard reception criteria (2023-2024): 1) Looked after children and previously looked after children; 2) Children who live in the catchment area and have a brother or sister attending the school or linked junior/primary school; 3) Other children who live in the catchment area; 4) Children who live outside the catchment area but have a brother or sister attending the school or linked school; 5) Children who live outside the catchment area.
