Aurora Eccles School follows a learning model aligned with the national curriculum and augmented with life-skills development classes and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, emphasising personalised interventions and strong relationships with students and families to support progress academically, socially and emotionally.
The admissions process starts with completing our referral form or emailing [email protected] with the latest version of the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP); after initial enquiry, an on-site assessment is arranged (outreach visits may be conducted to the child’s current school or care provider); an official consultation from the local authority or Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is undertaken to determine if an Aurora service is right; if placement is agreed, an application is submitted to the local authority/CCG for funding; a personalised programme is then built to ensure a smooth transition into the Aurora community.
