I am very proud to be the Headteacher of Hazel Community Primary School. It is a very special place to be, where children love their learning. We are a community school, therefore we really value our links with parents and other establishments around us. All staff are committed to establishing a happy and thriving school community, where every child can achieve and succeed. We are very proud of the diverse community we serve in the heart of Leicester City. We are a vibrant, happy school. We are proud of the 45+ languages spoken amongst our children.
Enrichment and Study Sessions finish at 4:25 pm; there are no after-school clubs on Fridays.
Hazel Inclusion Team includes Mrs Rhodes (SENDCO, Deputy Head Teacher); Mrs Gibson (Family Support Partner); Miss Brewin (SEND Teaching Assistant); Miss Makda (SEND Teaching Assistant); Mr Smith (SEND Teaching Assistant); Miss Toogood (SEND Teaching Assistant); Miss Yasin (SEND Teaching Assistant); plus Hazel Office Team and other staff.
Hazel Community Primary School admits pupils in accordance with Leicester City Council's Admissions Policy. Places are allocated up to a Planned Admission Limit of 60 across Reception through Year 6. For Reception starting August 2026, applications must be made by 15 January 2026 via Leicester City Admissions.
