Before and After School: Breakfast Club available from 7:30am (Nursery & Reception at The Manor; All Year groups at The Dovecote). After-school care available until 6pm. Pupils in Reception supervised from 8:15am; All pupils in Year 1–8 supervised from 8:00am; Breakfast Club available from 7:30am at The Dovecote. End times for after-school activities: Year 1–2 4:00pm; Year 3–4 5:15pm; Years 5–8 5:15pm. In the first and last weeks of terms, Activity Clubs do not take place and pickup times for Year 7–8 are 4:30pm.
Merchant Taylors’ Prep welcomes boys at 3+, 4+ and 7+. Assessments are play-based and look for signs that children will take direction from a teacher, sociability, and developing oral language. Open Mornings are held each term. The admissions process includes visiting, registering, assessments (~45 minutes in small groups of 10–15), and an offer if successful. There are entry points at 3+, 4+, and 7+ with specified timelines (e.g., 3+ registration by mid October of the preceding year).
