Founded in 1749 as a charitable foundation to help orphans of deceased Anglican clergymen; Church of England.
St Margaret’s is a school where children make phenomenal progress and grow in confidence, with small class sizes and strong pastoral support helping pupils flourish.
Wraparound care available from 4pm to 6pm (5pm on Friday); drop-off available from 7:30am.
Admission offers are based on entrance examinations and interviews, with consideration of school reports and a confidential reference; priority is given to potential over prior attainment.
Deposits: Day pupils £1200; Deferred entry pupils £1800; Boarders £2400. Fees include tuition, textbooks and other material for education, after school supervised study, and laundry for boarders; meals during the time pupils are required to be at school are included. A 10% discount is given for older siblings, Anglican Clergy families, British service personnel and alumni. Registration Fees: Nursery UK £150; Nursery Overseas £180; Reception - Year 13 UK £180; Reception - Year 13 Overseas £235. Fees are due on the first day of each term; payment by bank transfer or direct debit; notice requirements apply for withdrawal, change of status, or discontinuing extra paid activities.
