Welcome from Head Mr Mark Howe describes FSM as a vibrant day and boarding school for ages 2–16 on a 35-acre campus with average class sizes under 15. FSM is an independent school for ages 2–16. Entry points are Nursery & Pre-Prep (ages 2–7), Prep School (ages 7–11), and Senior School (ages 11–16). Children joining Reception, Prep, or Senior School are invited to age-appropriate assessments and tasters. Admissions considers academic potential and curiosity, personal qualities such as resilience and collaboration, and alignment with FSM’s values (love of learning, commitment, kindness, responsibility, and respect). Recommends contacting Admissions 6–12 months in advance. An offer follows assessment, with deposit to secure placement.
