Facilities

Health and Fitness Centre (opened in 2018) with two sports halls, a climbing wall, a refurbished 25m swimming pool, a multi-purpose activity studio, a dance studio, five squash courts and a 58-station gym. Parabola Arts Centre with a 325-seat auditorium, gallery and teaching spaces (opened in 2009). Royal House – home for the College's professional services functions. New Sixth Form Centre (development announced for Autumn 2026) with state-of-the-art facilities. Science laboratories refurbished; music rooms and Sixth Form Block upgrades.

Curriculum Highlights

In Sixth Form, students can study either the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme or A Levels. IB learners must choose six subjects from distinct curriculum areas, with a core of Theory of Knowledge, an Extended Essay and Creativity, Activity and Service. There is no predetermined options blocks; students choose subject combinations and the timetable is constructed around them. Lower College (Years 7-9) provides breadth to GCSE courses; Upper College (Years 10-11) typically involves 10 GCSE subjects with a free choice of options.

Wraparound Care

Day Houses provide wraparound care with operations from 7am to 7pm on weekdays.

Admissions Criteria

Admissions are based on potential and a positive attitude to learning; there is no single 'type' of girl; entry points are 11+ (Year 7), 13+ (Year 9), and 16+ (Sixth Form); all candidates must take entrance examinations and assessments; occasional mid-year spaces may be available; visits/open days are recommended.

Fees are termly and include teaching, essential educational materials, text books, curriculum trips, pastoral care, Personal Accident Insurance, meals and snacks, and many co-curricular and weekend activities. For 2025-26: Lower/Upper College and Sixth Form pupils (boarding) £20,100 per term; (day) £12,660 per term. Sixth Form pupils new to CLC (boarding) £22,290 per term; (day) £14,340 per term.
