Welcome to Blatchington Mill School. We are an inclusive and diverse comprehensive school in the heart of Hove, committed to supporting all students to belong, with exceptional pastoral care, and a focus on high standards, opportunities beyond the classroom, and strong partnerships with families to help students progress to Post-16 and beyond.
Admissions to Blatchington Mill School are allocated by the Council. If places are limited, priority is given (in this order): children in the care of the local authority (looked after children) or previously looked after children; children with strong medical or other exceptional reasons for attending the school; children who currently have an elder brother or sister at the school, provided the family home is within the catchment area; children eligible for free school meals living within the school’s catchment area; other children eligible for free school meals up to the city average; children living within the catchment area; other children. If a decision is needed between children within any priority group, an electronic random allocation system will be used and is independently monitored.
