Curriculum Highlights

KS3 curriculum for Years 7–9 is broad and balanced, enabling students to develop key literacy and numeracy skills and experience a range of curriculum opportunities. KS4 curriculum focuses on a broad and balanced range of GCSE and vocational courses, with an options process to allow personalisation and progression to post-16. Many students opt to take additional GCSEs in weekly after-school sessions as a twilight. Curriculum intents outline that each subject aims to maximise potential and develop knowledge, concepts and skills, with statements of intent for individual subjects. Setting and grouping policies are used to support progress, including ability-based grouping in some subjects and mixed-ability classes in others.

SEND Provision

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) work means that students with any such need are properly identified, supported and their progress and welfare is monitored.
