Welcome to Abbey Gate College. Our Senior School and Sixth Form are located in the historic Saighton Grange, with Infant and Junior School in Aldford. We are a safe, friendly community that values each child’s interests and strengths, encourages creativity and risk-taking, and aims to help pupils be the best they can be with courage and compassion.

Admissions Criteria

Main entry points are Foundation (Reception), Year 7 and Sixth Form; admissions may be considered for other year groups if space is available; entry into Years 3-11 requires an Entrance Examination (online standardised test) plus an observation-based assessment for Infant School; for Sixth Form, an interview with Heads of Sixth Form is required and offers are conditional upon GCSE grades (typical requirements: Grade 6+ in chosen A-Level subjects, Grade 5+ in English and Maths, Grade 4+ in non-related GCSEs).
