Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

ACERS (After School Provision) provides after school care for children from nursery age through to year 6 on the premises of Southwood School. All staff are trained to the required level and hold Paediatric or Basic First Aid qualifications. Children are transported from Downs Barn/Germander Park Schools to Southwood School using the school minibus; on occasions when the minibus is not available, children will be walking using the Walking Bus. A variety of activities are available during sessions (art and craft, books and magazines, iPads, board games, outdoor games and activities, films, etc.), plus a quiet area for homework. A healthy snack and drink is provided between 4.00-4.30pm. Registration information covers allergies; snacks comply with Government School Food Standards; staff have food hygiene training. Payment is invoiced weekly. Snack session to 4.30pm £5 per session; Collection 4.30-5.00pm £6; Collection 5.00-5.30pm £7; Collection 5.30-6.00pm £10 per session; late collection charge £10 after 6pm. Registration and 24-hours cancellation notice required; cancellations within 24 hours charged at £5 per child.
