SEND Provision

The Provost and Fellows provide scholarships and bursaries; over £8,000,000 annually in means-tested fee remission; 105 boys currently attend Eton on free places; in 2023/24, 247 boys received fee reductions with an average award of 71%.

Admissions Criteria

The admissions process looks at a boy’s current and potential academic ability and whether he will be happy in the boarding environment. Registrations can be made up to the end of UK School Year 5 (the year he reaches age 10). Registrations close on 31 August. After this, entry routes include scholarships or Sixth Form entry. Approximately 120 different state and independent schools are represented in admissions.
