Admissions Criteria

Nursery admissions are by application when the child is two years old; eligible for 15 hours per week; places offered for September around Easter; admission to the Nursery does not guarantee admission to Reception. Reception admission is through the Sunderland Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme; the current scheme is available via the linked page. In November, packs are sent to families who live in the City Council area; contact details for admissions: 0191 561 1399 or [email protected]. In-Year applications require an application and offer based on preference and availability. Appeals are handled by an Independent Appeals Panel. The Governing Body has a Complaints Procedure Policy; if not resolved, a complaint can be addressed to the Chair of Governors; complaints to the Local Authority will be sent to the Chair of Governors. For transfer and admission details see: Lambton Primary School Admissions Policy; Admission to Nursery; Admission to Primary Schools; For an application for a transfer, click here; For Sunderland policy details, click here.
