An additionally resourced provision (Base) opened in September 2014 to meet the needs of pupils with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and meet the criteria set by Together for Children. The capacity is 26 places. Access to the provision is named on the child’s EHCP and visits are by appointment with the SENDCo. Pupils are taught in smaller classes in ASD-specific environments with tailored timetables and access to interventions (e.g., speaking and listening groups, emotional literacy, fine/gross motor skills intervention). The provision uses the Equals Curriculum for pupils with SEND and supports integration into mainstream when appropriate.
Entry by EHCP naming an ASD diagnosis and meeting criteria set by Together for Children.
