SEND Provision

Caedmon Primary School recognises that all pupils are entitled to SEND provision and has a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCo). The school provides SEND support across four broad areas: Speech, Language, Communication and Interaction; Cognition and Learning; Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs; and Sensory and/or Physical Needs. It has a designated teacher for Looked After Children (Mr C Wisby) who works with the SENDCo to ensure staff understand implications for looked-after children with SEN. SEND-related information and Local Authority Local Offer materials (Gateshead Local Offer; Gateshead SEND Thresholds) are referenced, and the school lists contacts including SENDCo (Mrs S Hannon), Head Teacher (Mr C Wisby) and designated SEN Governors (Julie Darling and Councillor J Adams).
