"A proud community, flourishing together."
St Thomas' is a Church of England voluntary controlled junior school. The ethos is rooted in the Church of England Vision for Education and the school works to be a safe and inclusive place where opportunities for all to grow in spirit and aspire for broader horizons are abundant. The Christian values of Love, Hope, Respect and Kindness underpin school life. Church schools have Christian beliefs and values at their heart, and worship is an everyday part of school life. Religious Education is taught, and the school observes major Christian festivals and maintains an active relationship with a parish church. The school is open to all and proclaims itsChurch of England character externally; it encourages questions about belief and faith and seeks to provide faith experiences through worship and links with the parish church. Major aspects include daily acts of Christian worship, RE at least 5% of school time, and opportunities to mark the major festivals with integrity under the guidance of Christian ethos.
As the Principal, I have the incredible privilege to lead and serve our school. Our vision is to be a safe and inclusive place where opportunities for all to grow in spirit and aspire for broader horizons are abundant. Through our Christian values of Love, Hope, Respect and Kindness, we strive for high expectations and excellence for every child.
