Welcome to Hawksworth Church Of England Primary School. The headteacher describes high aspirations for every child, an inspirational and creative curriculum, and a strong Christian ethos with good links to local churches, inviting visits to explore the Hawksworth family atmosphere.

Curriculum Highlights

Rich and extensive PSHE curriculum, looking at themselves and the world around them. Transition support through each age/class phase. Mental Health & well-being provision. Children have the opportunity to play a range of musical instruments. A strong rounded Physical Education curriculum. An expansive collective worship curriculum. Cycling proficiency training. Residential trips. A broad RE curriculum. Supporting the faiths of all children. Visits to the local area, including religious buildings. Contribution to local and national charitable projects. Spanish taught by a specialist Spanish/MfL teacher to all children. Wide ranging library of books and a school reading scheme. Admission to Reception Year and in-year transfers: Looked after children. Children who have been adopted from local authority care, children with a Child Arrangement Order or Residency Order and those with Special Guardianship following being Looked After will be included within the higher priority for looked after children. A child who wishes to join a sibling already attending Hawksworth Church of England (VA) Primary School and where the older child will still be on roll at the expected time of admission.
