At Low Road and Windmill Primary Schools, we are committed to ensuring that every child—regardless of need—has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We believe in nurturing the whole child. Happy, confident, and emotionally secure children are better equipped to engage with learning and reach their full potential. We have high expectations for all learners and recognise that some children may require additional support or tailored provision to help them succeed. Our inclusive approach ensures that every child is valued, supported, and challenged appropriately. Working in close partnership with parents, carers, and a range of external professionals, we aim for all pupils to make strong progress from their individual starting points. We regularly review and adapt our provision to meet evolving needs and celebrate every step forward. We are proud to collaborate with the JESS Cluster Team, based at our Windmill site. JESS provides a wide range of family support and therapeutic services across Beeston, Belle Isle, Holbeck, and Hunslet—supporting 12 primary schools, 2 high schools, and 5 children’s centres. Their work with voluntary, community, and faith sector organisations helps ensure joined-up support for families and reduces the need for statutory interventions. While Windmill is not a designated resourced provision, we are deeply committed to creating bespoke opportunities for our SEND pupils across all age phases. We offer a variety of tailored spaces and interventions designed to meet individual needs, promote independence, and support emotional regulation. Nurture; Stepping Stones; Doves; Rainbow
