Curriculum Highlights

The Harehills Curriculum is delivered through themes across the school with Inspirational Starter Lesson (ISL)/clear purpose for learning, key texts, cross-curricular opportunities to read more and build vocabulary, and real experiences to reinforce context. Harehills is a Twinkl Phonics Research School and uses Twinkl Phonics for phonics instruction, emphasizing pure sounds. Rhino Readers and Oxford Reading Tree are used to support reading and are phonetically decodable. MindMate and Web of Wellbeing support mental health and emotional wellbeing; MindMate Ambassadors and mindfulness/yoga are part of activities. Religious Education follows the Leeds Agreed Syllabus Believing and Belonging; assemblies reflect diversity and culture.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Rise and Shine before-school breakfast club runs 7:45am–8:30am in The Oasis; after-school clubs run at lunchtimes and after school until 4:00–4:30pm depending on the club.
