Phonics: Read, Write, Inc phonics scheme with regular assessments and 1:1 tutoring if needed. Computing: National Curriculum-compliant with a bespoke computing scheme and Purple Mash; e-safety central in each unit. Science: enquiry-based learning with a yearly Science Fair. Languages: Spanish taught in Years 3-6 using Twinkl Planit; early exposure in EYFS through cross-curricular activities. Geography/History/RE/PSHE: taught to National Curriculum standards with integrated topics and a focus on skills and enquiry. Physical Education: two hours of PE per week (plus optional extra-curricular clubs); Year 5 includes swimming; after-school and lunch-time clubs run by external coaches (Elite Kids Coaching). Reading: school library and class reading areas; decodable texts linked to Read, Write, Inc; Eager Reader scheme to reward reading at home. Music/Arts: linked to Expressive Arts; Year 3/4 learn the djembe; music is integrated across the curriculum. Assessment and progression: progression across year groups aligned with National Curriculum objectives.
