Curriculum Highlights

White Rose Maths program used from EYFS through KS2 alongside the National Curriculum Rocket Phonics systematic synthetic phonics programme in Early Years and KS1 Reading Eggs for early reading (Reception–Year 2) and additional access for some readers in Year 3 Reading Planet scheme for Reading development in Early Years and KS1 Computing curriculum with three strands: digital literacy, computer science and information technology

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Wrap-around care runs before and after school: Breakfast Club from 7:30am to 8:30am (free breakfast for children entitled to Free School Meals; £2.50 per day for other children, to cover supervision). Whizz Kids runs from 3:20pm to 5:45pm (paid provision) with activities and a healthy snack; cost £5.00 until 4:15pm and £8.00 until 5:45pm, with a £1.00 discount per session for siblings. Booking is required termly in advance.

SEND Provision

Westmoor provides SEN support at three levels: SEN Support for additional input; My Support Plans (MSP) for higher level support with a tailored plan; and an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for ongoing, significant and/or complex needs. A dedicated SENCO oversees provision, working with teachers, parents and external agencies. Services include Quality First Teaching, in-class support, SPACE interventions, Speech and Language Therapy, access to assistive technology, emotional and behavioural support, and collaboration with families and external professionals.
