The Headteacher emphasizes a warm, family-like community and a child-centered approach, placing the individual needs, strengths and personalities of each child at the centre of all the school does.
Wraparound care is available before school (7:30am–8:30am) with breakfast and multiple after-school options: 3:30pm–4:15pm, 3:30pm–5:00pm, 3:30pm–6:00pm, and 4:15pm–6:00pm, with snacks/tea as appropriate. Sports holiday camps are also run on the school grounds during most holiday breaks.
The school is inclusive and welcomes applications from children with additional learning needs and/or physical disabilities, provided that the appropriate support can be offered; details are outlined in the Special Educational Needs (SEN) Policy; there may be additional costs for learning support.
Non-selective admissions with multiple entry points (Little Adventurers, Great Explorers, Brave Pioneers, Reception); tours and taster sessions are encouraged; scholarships available for Key Stage 2; bursaries mean-tested; equal treatment for all applicants; admissions decisions may consider disclosed learning needs and require discussion prior to start.
Termly fees cover 175 days of high-quality tuition in small classes (no more than 16 pupils). Included: daily home-cooked lunches, morning milk and fresh fruit, and a variety of sports/PE activities including a weekly swimming lesson. Additional charges may apply for before/after school care, peripatetic music lessons, examinations and assessments, educational trips and siblings. Scholarships may reduce school fees and are available only for Key Stage 2; sibling discounts do not apply to subsidised scholarship places. School fees are reviewed annually.
