Welcome to Silkstone Primary School. Ours is a happy, caring school with an ethos that puts children at the heart of all we do. Our dedicated staff and community have created a great school that enables all children to flourish as they develop a love for learning and life. Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

Shining Stars provides a Breakfast club from 7:15am Monday to Friday and an After School club until 6pm, Monday to Thursday during term time. We cater for children aged 4-11 years and provide high quality, affordable and accessible childcare. This club is run by school staff. Shining Stars can be contacted at [email protected] and on 01226 790333. Shining Stars manager: Miss Turner; Shining Stars play workers: Mrs Walmsley and Mrs Helliwell.

Admissions Criteria

Silkstone Primary School caters for children between the ages of 5 and 11. It has 30 Reception places and follows the local admissions procedures as a Local Authority maintained school. Barnsley residents can apply online via the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) online admissions site; for starting in September 2023 the deadline is stated as 15 January 2025. Non-Barnsley residents should contact their local council for admission information.
