Valley School is a primary special school for pupils aged 2–11 years with a range of complex and severe learning difficulties; motto ‘Small steps, giant strides’; provides outstanding educational provision in a caring, safe and secure environment; emphasizes partnership with parents and families.
Individual Education Program (IEP) linked to EHCP; devised in consultation with speech therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and teachers of the visually impaired; IEP targets updated three times a year; access to therapists; some pupils have 1:1 medical care support at all times.
All children admitted to Valley Special School have Special Educational Needs (SEN) and enter school either under assessment arrangements or with an Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP).
