Welcome to Arden Primary School where every child is cherished, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. Clubs
Arden provides Quality First Teaching from staff who continually undergo training and CPD to ensure best practice. All classes are supported by skilled teaching assistants and students are offered small group or intervention programmes as needed. Support for social skills and emotional wellbeing is provided by the Speech and Language Teaching Assistant and the pastoral team (Behaviour Mentor, Pastoral Manager and Learning Mentor). There is a strong emphasis on parent/carer collaboration and regular communication. The inclusive approach aims to ensure SEND pupils thrive academically, socially and emotionally, with SEND Policy cited as part of provision.
Pupils with Special Educational Needs will be admitted in line with the local authority admissions policy. The school adheres to the Local Authority Admissions Code of Practice. There is a waiting list when places exceed numbers. Priority for places is: 1) Children in need (as defined in the Children Act 1989), 2) Children with brothers or sisters attending Arden, 3) Children who live nearest to the school. Induction meetings are used after admissions, with further information provided by the school on request.
