Curriculum is built around broad themes related to our goals and values, with an overarching ‘big question’ for each topic Half termly curriculum maps identify key knowledge and skills across subjects Growth Mindset and Mindfulness approaches support learning and resilience A language‑rich approach with high quality texts and extensive reading across the curriculum Assessment is continuous, including peer marking, feedback and self‑review, with statutory assessments such as Reception Baseline and the Year 1 Phonics Screen Mastering Number programme and White Rose Maths scheme used to teach a mastery approach (10–15 minute sessions four times a week) Topics are enriched by visits, speakers, community links and inspirational role models EYFS comprises seven areas of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding the World; Expressive Arts and Design
