Resourced Provision (RP) provides 20 places in two classes (Honey bees and Bumblebees) for pupils with autism or speech, language or communication needs who require a specialist environment. Pupils enrol at the mainstream school with the expectation that they will access mainstream classes for some of the time. The RP aims for pupils to progress in a happy, supportive environment and to develop social, communication and independence skills; RP is staffed by a teacher and teaching assistants and may be supported by Speech and Language Therapist or Occupational Therapist. Places at the RP are allocated by the Local Authority.
Education during school hours as part of the National Curriculum is free. Voluntary contributions may be requested for trips and activities. Residential visits incur charges for board, lodging and travel. Breakfast club costs £2.50 per pupil per day. Music tuition may be charged if not part of the National Curriculum; swimming is provided within the National Curriculum and is not charged.
