RE curriculum introduces a range of religions and enables our children to discuss and recognise different beliefs.

Sports
Breakfast club runs from 8am-8.30am; After School Care provided by Roundhouse after School Club via Manchester Settlement.
Pupil Premium funding is allocated to support disadvantaged pupils, including: those who have been in receipt of free school meals (FSM) at any point in the past 6 years (£1515 per child); pupils previously looked after by a local authority or other state care (£2630 per child); children who are looked after by the local authority (£2630 per child); and children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces (£350 per child). For the financial year 2023-2024, we will receive £286,635 for pupil premium; 2024-2025, £290,080; 2025-2026, £330,270. Varna is held accountable for the spending of these monies, and there is a Pupil Premium plan in place.
Nursery admissions aligned to MCC admissions policy; admissions to our school nursery, whilst not governed by MCC's admissions policy, are aligned to MCC practices. Reception Class Admissions and appeals are dealt with by Manchester City Council School Admissions. ENTRY INTO YEARS 1 - YEARS 6: As with entry into Reception, all applications for places and appeals are dealt with by MCC School Admissions.
School meals are priced at £2.87 per day, £14.35 per week. Increasing to £2.98 per day, £14.90 per week from 28th March 2026.
