SEND Provision

The Orchard, The Glade, The Lighthouse and The Nest SEND environments are dedicated SEND spaces with teams and curriculum within each. The school aims to embed B-Squared as the main approach to assessing children with complex SEND. Adaptive teaching and the use of One Page Profiles and Individual Learning Plans within the classroom remains a priority. There is also a focus on developing SEMH and ASD/ADHD needs.

Admissions Criteria

Nursery places are available with admission criteria in four categories (Category 1: looked after by Local Authority; Category 2: exceptional medical/social needs; Category 3: older siblings at the school; Category 4: distance from home). Distances are calculated in a straight line from home to the school. Reception admissions are the responsibility of Manchester Local Authority online or via paper forms; other year groups admissions are managed by Manchester City Council Admissions Team. The school aims to welcome up to 260 children each year (30 in Reception–Year 2, 32 in Year 3–Year 6).
