Clubs
Sports
Breakfast Club operates Monday to Friday, in the school hall, between 07:30 and 08:40. After School Club operates 3.30pm-5.25pm. Before and After school provision is also provided by Ambers Attic, Stand Lane (0161 723 1555).
The school recognises that some children will have special educational needs and uses the Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. Provision is initially made within the class by the teacher, with parents liaising to write a plan. If progress is not satisfactory, additional support from outside agencies (e.g., Educational Psychologist or Speech and Language Therapist) may be requested. If difficulties remain, an Education Health Care Plan (EHC) may be considered. Admission arrangements for children with special needs are the same as for all children, and EHCs prioritise applications if in place. Parents are fully engaged throughout the process.
Reception admissions are made via Bury Local Authority. Oversubscription criteria prioritise: (1) children with older brothers/sisters at the school; (2) geographical proximity (shortest walking route). The admission limit is 45 (Years 1–6) with an historical admission number of 40. The Local Authority manages the admissions process.
After School Club costs £7.50 per session. Breakfast Club operates on weekdays from 07:30 to 08:40; details available from the school office.
