The Hive Resourced Provision uses autism-friendly teaching strategies to deliver the National Curriculum in an enabling environment. It has a maximum capacity of 14 pupils (2 per year group, Year R–Year 6; Reception access the curriculum within the Early Years). The Hive aims to provide a positive, happy, purposeful learning environment, with personalised transition plans to build up to 80% of time in mainstream classrooms, and to develop social, communication and independence skills through specialist support and evidence-based strategies.
We follow the Bury Local Authority admissions process. The Hive admission is via referral to the Bury SEN Team, with a robust referral/consultation process; in-year intake is handled through the Local Authority.
