Ursuline is a Catholic Primary School under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. Religious Education is central to the curriculum and the school uses the Religious Education Directory (RED), building on Come and See and PSHE through You, Me, Everyone. The school emphasizes collective worship, a Catholic ethos, and living out gospel values within school life.

Ursuline Out of School Club is an external organisation which provides childcare before and after normal school hours. The club operates from 7.45 am - 8.55 am in the morning and from 3.10 pm - 6.00 pm in the evening. The club also runs holiday sessions during school holidays.
The school provides SEND information with a named SENCO (Miss Catherine Fitzsimons) and follows the SEND Code of Practice 2014. Support is provided across four areas of need: communication and interaction; social, emotional and mental health difficulties; sensory and/or physical needs; cognition and learning. The school admits up to a maximum of 60 pupils into Reception each year and has a total capacity of 420 pupils. Applications are made through the Sefton Citizen Portal with an additional supplementary faith form submitted to the school. In-year admissions are handled via Sefton Admissions. If applications exceed available places, the governing body applies the over-subscription criteria.
