Netherton Moss admits children in the Autumn Term of the school year in which they reach the age of five. The school follows Sefton’s general admissions policy and applicants should contact the school to fill in Sefton’s Application Form or apply online at www.sefton.gov.uk/admissions. Approximately 90% of places are filled by children who attend the Early Years Unit (Marigold). The school’s admission number has been reduced to 30, so early application is advisable. If there are more applications than places, priorities are: (1) Looked after Child; (2) children who already have a brother or sister at the school; (3) nearness of home. Nursery admissions follow similar criteria with some differences (e.g., a child’s name may be added to the waiting list after the second birthday). Children are admitted to the nursery in the term following their third birthday. Nursery applications are dealt with directly by the school via a form obtained from the school office. Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council provides links to the school admissions page.
