Grove Vale follows the Sandwell Agreed Syllabus for RE; teaching of RE is an essential part of the curriculum; assemblies celebrate major religious festivals; links to School Life values; visits to places of worship throughout the year.
Welcome from Headteacher Mrs A Connop. Grove Vale is described as an inclusive, nurturing school in Sandwell with a motto of Together We Grow and a focus on high expectations, equality of opportunity, care and ambition for all learners.

Sports
Breakfast Club operates from 7:30am until 8:50am with a healthy breakfast provided (cereals, toast, pancakes, fruit, juice/milk). After School Club operates from 3:25pm until 6:00pm term time only, with a range of activities and a choice of snacks (sandwiches, toast, beans on toast, pizza, cheese/buttered crackers, fruit) and drinks. Activities include sport, creative activities, outdoor play on playgrounds or forest school area, water play, team building games, quizzes, movie nights, cooking and more. The Arbor app/portal will be used for bookings and communications (as described).
Grove Vale is fully inclusive; SENCO is Mrs S Pickett; policies reference The SEN Code of Practice and The Special Educational Needs and Disability Regulations 2014; information available via the Sandwell Local Offer and SEN documents (SEN policy, SEND Information Report, Jargon Buster, etc.).
Admission details are provided by the Local Authority. Link to Local Authority Admission Arrangements is given; Sandwell Council handles admissions and the school cannot allocate or chase applications.
Breakfast Club: £6.50 per session. Afterschool Club 3:30-5:00pm: £8.50. Afterschool Club 3:30-6:00pm: £10.00. From 1 April 2026 Grove Vale will use Arbor for payments; fees are set to increase from that date.
