Curriculum Highlights

Maths taught through the White Rose scheme with a mastery approach; daily maths lessons and daily fluency sessions; TimesTable Rockstars for Years 2–6; Numbots for Year 1; regular assessments including Multiplication Tables Check (Year 4) and SATs (Year 6). Reading taught using Little Wandle phonics; Book Talk policy; Reading for Pleasure; monthly Book of the Month. French taught for one hour per week from Year 3 to Year 6; PE led by a specialist Sports Coach with a focus on games, gymnastics, dance and team games; Year 4 swimmers at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre. Residentials offered: Year 4 Bell Heath three-day residential; Year 6 Plas Gwynant five-day residential in Snowdonia National Park. Enrichment includes music opportunities (trumpet in Year 3; Rocksteady; school choir) and diverse cross-curricular experiences.

Breakfast club runs from 7:45am until the start of school, based in the Discovery Den. Places must be booked and paid for in advance via the school office. After school clubs run on a half-termly basis; some clubs incur a small charge and sign-up information is sent to parents.
