The school aims are Ready, Respectful and Safe, and there is a focus on providing opportunities for parents to engage with workshops and activities.

Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes

Breakfast club opens from 7:45am each morning and can be accessed through the Main Entrance. Pupils are provided with a choice of breakfast and a drink before partaking in activities before the start of school. Pupils are then escorted to their classrooms by the staff, ready for a smooth start to the school day. Breakfast club currently costs £5 per day, per child to cover the cost of childcare. If you require a place in Breakfast Club please book through ParentPay.

SEND Provision

Glebefields uses an Inclusion Hub and has an Inclusion Manager/SENCO; a team of Inclusion Support Staff; NHS Enhanced Speech and Language; and a Local Offer. The SEND page lists staff roles (Inclusion Manager, SENCO, Advisory Teachers for Learning, Social/Emotional/SMH, Complex/Communication/Autism, Educational Psychologist, Sensory Support, NHS team) and documents (Accessibility Plan, Asthma Plan, Local Offer, Medication Administration Form, SEND Parent Information Report, SEND Policy, In-a-nut-shell). The school works in partnership with Sandwell Children’s Trust and other services as needed, including Early Help, Child Protection, and Looked After Children processes, with Parents/Carers involved in planning. Chris Wyer is the Parents Support Advisor, and contact is [email protected] or 0121 556 2651.

Admissions Criteria

Admission arrangements are determined by the Local Authority (LA). The LA publishes its entry regulations each year. Parents can express a preference, but this does not guarantee a place. Applications are made on a form obtained from the local Education Department and returned by the date set by Sandwell Authority. Children enter reception at the start of the academic year in which they become five, with one admission date per year in September; applications for Reception are handled through the LA.

Financial Information

Breakfast Club costs £5 per day.
