SEND Provision

The Focus Provision is a 10-place unit based in Little Bridge. The Focus Provision Manager is Mrs K Lawley. It specialises in meeting the needs of pupils with complex communication needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder. All the children in the FP have Education & Health Care Plans (EHCPs) and have been allocated a place via Sandwell SEN Service and their Provision Panel. The Curriculum is highly personalised; targets cover cognition & learning, communication, social & emotional development, physical & sensory and independence, with progress measured against Sandwell Skills Ladders, The Orchard Framework, Read Write Inc (RWI) and Wellcomm language screening. The SEN Hub is an intervention programme designed to support a select group of reception and KS1 pupils; led by Mrs C Lowe; targets set with class teachers; aim to enable majority to integrate into mainstream classrooms.

Admissions Criteria

Focus Provision places are allocated via the EHCP assessment process and Sandwell SEN Provision Panel, not by the school. Admissions Policy (Nursery) 2023-2024 and Admissions Policy (Main School) 2023-2024 are available as PDFs.
