Admission is by audition based on potential in classical ballet. Admission to the School is based solely on potential in classical ballet, not on personal circumstances or academic ability. Dancers are welcome to re-apply if they have auditioned before. Entry processes vary by programme; preliminary auditions are used for entry, with video auditions accepted for international candidates. Applications for full-time training and Mid/Senior/Advanced Associate programmes open in September to October; Junior Associates open February to March. All applicants must submit photographs. Final auditions involve the Artistic Director and staff. See eligibility requirements for details.
Diploma of Dance Teaching: Application fee £75; Course fees £8,600 (£4,300 per year over two years). Current or former professional dancers can access funding for teacher training via Dancer’s Career Development. For other programmes, view the Fees page for programme-specific costs; audition information notes application fees of £70 (full-time and mid/senior/advanced associates) and £60 (Junior Associates). Payments may require bank details from the Parent Finance Team.
