Wraparound care is available after school, with activities running until 6:00 pm on most days. Breakfast club operates before school to 8:20 am. The school runs after-school clubs (thursday clubs and other activity clubs) and wraparound care times listed in the weekly timetable vary by day (typical window 3:20–6:00 pm).
SEND provision includes a full-time SENCo, supported by a part-time colleague, an OT and a speech and language specialist. Twenty-five pupils have one-to-one specialised support, most with dyslexia or moderate learning difficulties and some with autism. There is an emphasis on early identification and inclusive support across the school.
Non-selective, with a single form entry and about 22 pupils per year. Siblings and children of old Unicorns have priority, and nursery places come with a guaranteed reception place the following year. Places are allocated after informal discussion with the head, a very informal maths test, a bit of reading, and review of previous school reports. Newcomers spend time at the school before starting. There is no waiting list for nursery when visited. Admission for later entry is at the headteacher’s discretion and follows the school’s usual admissions policy.
Termly fees for 2025/2026: Nursery – Red Class (mornings) £3,240; Nursery – Red Class (full days) £5,190; Reception, Years 1 & 2 – Orange, Yellow & Green Classes £6,228 (including VAT £1,038); Year 3, 4 & 5 – Blue, Indigo & Violet Classes £6,600; Year 6 – Ultra Violet Class £6,708. Unicorn School offers Universal 15 hours of Early Education Funding for 3 and 4 year olds. Additional charged items include meals (£5.61 per day) and optional activities. The school is non-profit and requires a non-interest bearing loan of £2,500 per family. Invoices are issued termly; withdrawal requires one term’s notice or equivalent fees.
