The Headmaster, Oliver Barrett, has led Twickenham Prep School since September 2020. Wraparound Care

SEND Provision

TPS places strong emphasis on safeguarding and wellbeing. It highlights weekly Celebration Assemblies, Zones of Regulation for younger pupils, BOUNCE workshops for older pupils, and a Mental Health Action Group led by the Headmaster and Mental Health Champions. A pastoral approach includes regular discussions within pastoral teams, a School Council, buddy system and class partnerships, and collaboration with visiting experts to support mental health and wellbeing.

Admissions Criteria

Main entry is Reception (non-selective). Registration costs £120. For Year 3 entry, a 7+ assessment morning is held in autumn term. Other entry points include Year 7/8 via Senior Prep with an academic assessment; occasional places may be available for other ages. A deposit of £1000 secures a place, refundable only as credit to the final invoice upon a child leaving; offers follow formal registration and acceptance. TPS participates in the Early Education Funding Scheme providing 15 (or 30 if eligible) hours of free education for four-year-olds. Additional charges apply for specialist learning support, trips, breakfast club supervision, and school transport.

Tuition (per term, inclusive of 20% VAT): Reception and Year 1: £5,448; Year 2 to Year 8: £6,072. Lunch charges (VAT exempt): Pre-Prep: £278 per term; Prep: £320 per term (Children may bring a packed lunch). Music lessons are paid directly to external providers. Fees may be paid by direct debit (termly, monthly, or annually). An acceptance deposit of £1,000 is required to secure a place. VAT applies to tuition fees as per government policy. There are additional charges for trips, wraparound care, and transportation.
