Sacred Heart is a Catholic Primary School. Catholic spirituality is central to every aspect of school life and pupils grow and develop in God's love. The school welcomes families of other faiths and none and works with the local Church, Sacred Heart, to support the community.

Sacred Heart is a small, caring, and happy school where every child matters; high standards of academic achievement are complemented by a broad, creative curriculum and strong values. The school emphasizes community, faith, family involvement, and extensive after-school clubs, with opportunities to visit and tour the school.

Breakfast Club runs 7:30am–8:45am, Monday to Friday, term-time only; cost £8 per session (second child £6, third £5). Breakfast is optional and a range of activities are provided. After School Club runs 3:20pm–6:15pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only; cost £18 per session (second child £15, third £12). A healthy snack is provided and activities can include arts, crafts, sports, homework and games. The club is a not-for-profit scheme run by the school, with fees kept to cover staffing, food and equipment.
The SEND/Inclusion Lead is Mrs Clare Taylor. The school has a SEND Information Report and Inclusion Policy, ratified by the Governing Body, and aligns with Local Offer provisions to support pupils with special educational needs.
Admissions require the School’s Supplementary Information Form (SIF) in addition to the Local Authority’s Common Application Form. No certificate of Catholic Practice is required. For Reception 2026-2027, closing date is 15 January 2026. Appeals information and contact details are provided; class sizes are 30; in-year admissions are available.
Breakfast Club: 7:30am–8:45am, £8 per session; second child £6; third £5. After School Club: 3:20pm–6:15pm, £18 per session; second child £15; third £12. Nursery fees include Universal 15-hour funding and Extended 30-hour provision for eligible families; 8:45am–2:45pm with a possible extra 30 minutes at £5; self-funded afternoons available at £10 per hour (£30 for a 3-hour session) with bookings via ScoPay. Morning session timings for Nursery include 8:45am–11:45am and 12:15pm–3:15pm with lunch provision.
