Head Teacher's Message

Headteacher Tom Holmes states he became Headteacher in January 2022, previously Headteacher in Wandsworth and Deputy Headteacher in Richmond; describes Sheen Mount as a thriving three-form entry school with high expectations and ongoing development, and invites visitors to learn more via the school site and newsletters.

Curriculum Highlights

Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised phonics program used in Reception onward; daily phonics lessons; Year 2 phonics screening Strong reading focus with home reading records, weekly library sessions and reading for pleasure English curriculum emphasising writing, grammar, punctuation and handwriting with assessment frameworks Foreign Languages: Italian and French introduced; aim for students to describe themselves in at least one language Design & Technology includes practical making, nutrition and cooking; use of computing tools to support design Computing curriculum focused on Safety and Healthy Habits, Creativity and Expression, Cross-Curricular Digital Literacy, Computational Thinking and Exploration

Wraparound Care

After-School Care: Yes

Wrap-around care is provided by the Junior Adventures Group (formerly Fit for Sport). The after-school program offers activities such as Super Sports, Crafty Kidz, Fit Fun and Team Tastic, plus Wellbeing Warrior & Activity Challenges across services. The provision is Ofsted registered and designed to keep pupils active after the school day, including holiday clubs.
