Wraparound Care

Breakfast Club: Yes After-School Care: Yes

The LookOut is the wraparound child care provision at St Luke's, available during term time and most holidays for children in Reception to Year 6. It provides a relaxed and caring environment where children continue to develop their intellectual, physical, social, creative and emotional selves before and after their school day. The LookOut staff are DBS checked and first aid trained, and maintain an adult-to-child ratio of 1:8. Breakfast Club begins at 7:30am with drop-off times at 7:30am and 8:00am, after which Years 3–6 children walk round to class and Reception to Year 2 children are taken to their class by LookOut staff. After School Club operates from the end of the school day until 5:50pm. Holiday Club information is available. In line with the St Luke's Healthy Eating Policy we provide a varied and nutritious snack tea, vegetables crudités, and water is available at all times. The LookOut also offers access to a hall, Computing suite and library for activities and homework, and uses a large, secure playground for outdoor play.

SEND Provision

The school provides SEND provision with a three-tier approach: Universal (quality first teaching), Targeted (additional short-term interventions), and Specialist (long-term support with outside professionals). The SENCo coordinates provision and liaises with Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, CAMHS, FASS, Sensory Impairment services and the School Nurse, among others.

Financial Information

The school states a charging and remissions policy; charges may apply for external clubs and for breakages; voluntary contributions are requested to fund activities such as school trips and swimming.
