St John the Baptist Parish Church, Malden Parochial CofE Primary School has very close links with the local church. Collective Worship occurs with ministry team involvement every Wednesday; Eucharist is held in school once every half term; services are also held at St. John’s throughout the year with pupil participation. The school welcomes children of all faiths and none.
Headteacher welcomes families to Malden Parochial, highlighting a special atmosphere and a Christian vision of Reflecting the Kingdom of God by Enriching and Transforming Lives, with Love, Wisdom, Joy and Peace shaping school life. Early Birds Breakfast Club (7:30–8:30) and Night Owls After School Care (3:15–6:00) on site in the Art/DT room. Night Owls options include 3:15–6:00 (£20), 3:15–4:30 (£10), and 4:30–6:00 (£10). Booking and payments via ParentMail; new parents must activate their ParentMail account; ad hoc sessions may be available up to 10pm the night before if places exist. Breakfast club must be booked in advance. Parents may use childcare vouchers for both clubs; refunds are not given once a place is booked. Fun Fest Holiday Club on school premises provides holiday childcare during 9 weeks of school holidays (8:15am–6pm).

Our admissions criteria prioritise places for children living in the Parish. Proposed changes for September 2027 include removal of criteria that gave parish non-worshippers priority over others and addition of criteria prioritising faithful regular worshippers at St John’s who live outside the parish boundary but within 1km of the main school gate.
Nursery fees: 2025–2026 – Each 3-hour core session (morning or afternoon) £22.50; Lunch club £8.50; Full day £53.50. 2026–2027 – Each 3-hour core session £25; Lunch club £9; Full day £59; Extended day option (2:30pm–3:15pm for funded full day) £10.
