The sensory room provides a calm, therapeutic space, and the Lunchtime Respite Room offers a quieter, structured setting for play. The SEND team works with families and external professionals to create personalised support plans, with regular reporting to the Governing Body.

Admissions Criteria

Oversubscription criteria (in order): 1) Children in public care (including those looked after and those with adopted or special guardianship orders); 2) Children whose parent/carer or grandparent are regular worshippers of St Michael at Bowes or St Cuthbert’s (written clergy reference required); 3) Children whose families are regular worshippers of another Christian denomination (written minister’s reference required); 4) Children who have step/half/foster siblings attending the school; 5) Children whose families are regular members of another world faith (written evidence required); 6) Remaining places are allocated by nearness to the home along the shortest safe walking route. If oversubscribed, tie-breakers include: (a) Children who attend Tottenhall Infant School; (b) Children who live nearest to the school. Regular worship is defined as at least once a month for a year.
