Christ Church (Brondesbury) CE Primary School is a vibrant, welcoming and inclusive school at the centre of a diverse local community. Welcome from Headteacher Mr J Kelly. The message describes Christ Church as a welcoming, caring school and outlines headline priorities for 2025-2026, highlighting the motto Going for GOLD with faith and the aim for excellence in learning, sport, music and leadership.
Children not collected by 3.30pm will be taken to the school's After-School Provision (Mon - Thu); a charge of £3.00 will be made for late collection.
The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is the Inclusion Leader Ms. W Baverstock. SEND information includes SEN Support with booster groups, targeted interventions, TA/HLTAs, and potential external assessments. Personal learning plans are written and reviewed termly. Brent Local Offer and SENDIASS provide information and support. Nessy Reading and Spelling is used for Specific Learning Difficulties (e.g., dyslexia). STAR supports families under CAMHS/Neurodevelopmental assessments. The school welcomes English as an additional language (EAL) learners and supports via smaller groups; Language Ambassadors may assist. Looked-after children (LAC) procedures are in place.
Admission to Reception (Sept) requires applications to Brent Council to be submitted by 15 January. There are Supplementary Information Forms (SIF) for certain criteria (2 and 6-13) to help governors assess applications. Nursery admissions are handled by Wetherby House Montessori Nursery. The Mayor of London has promised that all school-age children are entitled to a free school meal, so there is no charge for school meals for children from Reception to Year 6. Children in Full-time Nursery will need to pay for a school meal. The cost of a School meal is £3.00 per day, £15.00 per week.
