We provide support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including speech, language and communication difficulties (including autism spectrum conditions); cognition and learning needs (including dyslexia, dyspraxia and dyscalculia); social, emotional or mental health difficulties; and sensory and/or physical needs. Pupils with SEND are identified through data tracking, classroom observation, diagnostic testing and close liaison between class teachers, the SEND Lead and parents. We provide a graduated response, a nurturing environment, Learning mentors and Mental Health First Aiders, and may work with outside agencies such as Speech and Language Therapy, Educational Psychology and counselling services with parent involvement.
Nursery admissions forms can be filled out at the school; you will need your child’s birth certificate or passport and proof of address. Primary admissions: Reception and in-year admissions forms need to be filled out online using Barnet Admissions. If a child has SEND, admissions are in line with Barnet procedures and you should indicate SEN on the form so appropriate provision can be put in place.
