Admissions Criteria

Brent Knoll is a specialist school for children with autism or social communication and interaction difficulties who would benefit from the strategies and interventions employed in meeting those needs. Admission decisions are made by Lewisham SEN placement panel following assessment; criteria include significant attention difficulties, limited independence, language difficulties, and appropriate communication abilities; entry points include Reception (developmental expectations) and Year 7 (early key stage expectations). The school may admit more pupils than year-group capacity if directed by the local authority or a SEND tribunal.
